The revolver shows no makers marks, proofs and serial number 220 on the butt. Lefaucheux Revolver S Serial Number 220 On It is in magnificent condition with glossy vivid nitrous blue. This gun is beautifully engraved and acid etched on the barrel, cylinder and frame. The pinfire was invented in 1843 by French gunmaker Casimir Lefaucheux. This is a 6-shot Pinfire in approximately 12mm with 17 inch barrel. It is engraved on the frame sides and bottom, also the back strap and butt plate. The cylinder, barrel is 2.25 long and the overall is 5.5.
